14-Year Old Boy From Virginia Beach Died After Being Hit By Car

Daniel Taylor, a 14-year old student of Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, lost his life on March 16th after he was struck by a car at the intersection of Providence Road and Jamestown Drive. The young student was waiting for the school bus at the time of the accident.

News sources reported that it was dark and raining at the time of the accident that took Daniel Taylor’s life. Police officials also reported that Taylor was not crossing the road in a controlled intersection or crosswalk. Taylor was transported to Norfolk Sentara General Hospital Wednesday morning following the accident. He was pronounced dead only a few hours later.

The Virginia Beach police department is currently investigating the accident, but no criminal charges have been filed against the driver of the vehicle that took Daniel Taylor’s life. The family of the deceased boy will likely have a civil claim against the driver, but there has been no word on whether the family intends to file a lawsuit or not.
