Children safer in the car with Grandparents than parents

A recent study shows that children will probably be safer on the road with their grandparents than their parents. The results of this study came as a surprise to those involved in the research. The research showed that children are an astoundingly 50% less likely to suffer from injuries in an accident with their grandparents than their actual parents.

A few factors are noted as to why studies sided with grandparents. One is that Grandparents have a sense of carrying precious cargo and are aware of any challenges they might face with driving in their older age. They also are not as rushed and distracted on the road as parents are with technology and busy schedules. Grandparents might view the car rides as time well spent with their grandchildren while most parents view it as getting from point A to point B. It the study, researchers found that the children suffered the same injuries regardless of who was driving; such as, concussions, other head injuries and broken bones.
