Deadly Accident in Virginia Beach

Early in the morning on Saturday July 9th, driver Jeff Cooley accidently ended his life in a single vehicle crash. Police, EMT, and fire services were called to the scene. Mr. Cooley was declared dead on the scene.

Emergency services were notified of the crash immediately on Saturday at 1:32 a.m. The accident took place on Indian River Road in Virginia Beach. According to reports the driver took a curve too fast and attempted to correct his error and ended up going off the road and into a ditch. The vehicle hit a tree and bounced back on the road. Once entering the road, the vehicle rolled onto its side and the driver was partially ejected from the car. Mr. Cooley was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident which factors into his prompt death. Police also noted that alcohol and speed were additional dangerous factors in this deadly auto accident.
