Head-On Collision Claims Two Lives In Virginia

Virginia State Police responded to a tragic accident scene Monday involving two vehicles on Route 175 in Chincoteague, Virginia. According to news reports, a Volvo driven by a 63-year-old California man allegedly crashed into a Ford Taurus carrying three passengers, all of which were Virginia residents.

The accident was allegedly caused when the Volvo swerved into the eastbound lanes on Route 175. The Ford Taurus was unfortunately traveling in one of the eastbound lanes and was stuck by the Volvo. According to reports, alcohol was not a factor in the accident and investigators are still looking into the cause of the collision.

The driver of the Volvo was flown to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Ford Taurus was flown to the hospital with major injuries and the two remaining passengers were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. It was reported that none of the passengers of the Ford Taurus were wearing safety belts at the time of the accident.
