I Love China

This is December 19, 2009. We are all getting ready for Christmas. As I was getting ready and doing some shopping, suddenly I started thinking in global terms. It struck me how China saved and is saving our way of life in the USA and even our nationhood.
You say “what?” Yes I think it is true. As we all know, China sells a lot of stuff here. It keeps their people working and brings them many US dollars. They use this money to buy things and to buy our debt products. Although they hold a lot of our debt, they don't seem to be worried about it. Maybe they realize that there is no where else to go.  Can't go to gold (not enough of it); they can't go to the Euro (many European countries are in deep financial trouble, Germany has to bail out Greece and maybe Italy). So they stick to the dollar. This means propping the USA up even as our leaders try to weaken the US economy.
Recently, at the UN Climate Summit in Denmark, our leaders tried to commit the US to pay poor countries some 50 Billion per year in order to fight Global Warming. How does that work?  I don't know, but in any case, that was the plan. Save the Polar Bears, give Somalia some US billions. The Chinese, not wanting to see their best customer destroy its economy, just said "NO". China will not be a part of this give away. So the whole thing just kind of ended with everyone making statements of their good intentions.
Thank you China, saved us again.
