Norfolk Man Shot In Virginia Beach

A Norfolk man was found dead in Virginia Beach at 2 a.m. early Monday morning. According to local reports, the man was shot to death in a 7-Eleven parking lot. No one has been charged so far due to unclear information on whether the shooting can be justified.

Investigators found a shotgun near the vehicle which belonged to the gun shot victim, 20 year-old Derek Spencer. They have reason to believe that the shotgun belonged to Spencer. According to authorities a crowd from Hanger 09 gathered at the near-by convenience store and an argument started which initiated the gunfire shots. Along with the death of Derek Spencer, two other individuals were taken to the hospital and treated. They were released soon after. Spencer's body was covered in a vehicle on 6600 block of Stoney Point South. Police will speak with the commonwealth attorney to find out if the shooting was justified.
