Norfolk Police Officer and Wife Found Dead In Chesapeake Home

On March 21, 2011, police officials arrived at the home of William and Patricia Mackenzie after a co-worker noticed that one of the residents had failed to show up for work on Monday morning. When the Chesapeake police officials entered the home, they found both Mr. and Mrs. Mackenzie deceased.

Police officials have not publicly commented on the cause of death that took the lives of the two Chesapeake, Virginia residents. One of the Mackenzie’s neighbors told a local news source that he had heard “something startling at around 2 a.m.” on Monday morning that sounded like thud or banging on the wall. The police are allegedly calling this case a “death investigation”. There has been no word as to whether foul play was involved in the case or not. Currently, no suspects have been arrested in conjunction with this case.

The Mackenzie’s neighbors spoke fondly about the couple when interviewed by local news sources. William Mackenzie was an officer with the Norfolk Police Department and had served the citizens of Virginia in that capacity for the past 25 years. Patricia Mackenzie reportedly worked as a veterinary technician in Chesapeake. The Mackenzie’s neighbors were shocked and saddened to learn of the deaths and are seeking answers.
