Shocking Third Old Dominion Shooting in Two Months

A shocking third shooting took place at Old Dominion University Thursday night. This is the third shooting involving an ODU student in two months. The victim was reportedly shot while he was walking home from a bar. The shooting took place near 37th Street and Hampton Boulevard. The cause of the shooting is still unanswered along with the identity of the shooter.
The heat from these shootings is being place on the Norfolk police department and campus police. They are working on combining their efforts to produce tighter security on the campus and around the surrounding neighborhoods.
There is much criticism from the students about how the school is handling these recent shootings compared to Virginia Tech's recent campus shut down due to a camper "thinking" she saw a man with a gun. ODU only sent a message to the students informing them about the shooting and warning them to avoid walking around alone at night.
Criminal activity can happen when you least expect it. If you have been the victim or are charged as a perpetrator of a criminal activity contact your local Hampton Roads attorney, Michael Weisberg.
