Virginia Beach Car Crash During Morning Rush

During the Monday morning rush, an SUV collided with a small car near the intersection of Oceana Boulevard and Bells Road in Virginia Beach. According to investigators and local news sources, the car was stopped at a red light when the SUV crashed into it. The force of the crash caused the car to flip over into a nearby ditch. Video footage of the accident can be viewed here.

According to news reports, neither driver was seriously injured in the collision. Investigators believe that the accident was a result of excessive speed on the part of the SUV. Apparently, the SUV drove up too quickly and did not have enough time to stop before crashing into the sedan that was stopped at a red light.

Many car accidents could be prevented by slowing down, following the posted speed limit and removing common distractions like talking or texting on a cell phone while driving. If you have been injured in an accident, you should consult with a local attorney right away for a potential case assessment. The other driver’s insurance company may ask you to sign documents or accept a settlement. You should not participate in either of these activities without consulting with an attorney who has your best interests in mind.
