Virginia Beach Oceanfront Deaths

A 33-year-old man and a 2-year-old were killed this past weekend at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. In two separate incidences, these two individuals fell from the balcony of their hotels and were killed instantly.

33-year-old Christopher Kidd fell nine stories at the Four Sails Resort. His family told authorities that he had been drinking all day. It is still unknown if he purposely jumped or accidently fell. 2 year-old Leah Moats was playing with a toy at the Sandcastle Hotel when she fell through the railings of the balcony. Charges have not been filed for either of these cases.

These devastating circumstances add to the previous two deaths at the Oceanfront in the past month. A 9-year-old boy drowned while struggling in a rip current and a Williamsburg man died while trying to save two other individuals. If you or someone you know need legal advice about wrongful death, please contact your local Hampton Roads lawyer, Michael S. Weisberg.
