Can I receive compensation for a prior injury or medical condition that was made worse by an accident?

 

A: Generally, you may not recover for injuries or medical conditions that existed prior to your accident since the opposing party did not cause them. However, if your injury or condition was made significantly worse because of the accident, you may have a personal injury case for the additional aggravation.
