A Virginia motorcycle accident that occurred in Portsmouth on Thursday, August 18, resulted in the death of Desmond Leroy St. George Constable, who was 28 years of age.
According to Virginia State Police Sergeant Michelle Anaya, Constable, who is from Norfolk, was riding a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle and traveling westbound on Interstate 264 inside the downtown tunnel at approximately 10:30 p.m. He was traveling with other motorcyclists when he sped up and lost control of the bike, causing the motorcycle to strike a wall and then the tunnel walkway pole. He died immediately upon impact while the motorcycle continued down Interstate 264, completely engulfed in flames.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing, including whether alcohol was a factor in this fatal VA motorcycle crash.
