Virginia Beach police are probing into a fatal accident in which a parking enforcement worker was killed after a motorist allegedly hit him. The driver was charged with failure to yield the right of way.
Police say that 21-year-old Cory James Dyer died an hour after the accident.
Dyer's motorized scooter crashed into a sports utility vehicle (SUV). The SUV's driver was 60-year-old Patricia Gail Kimball, of Virginia Beach.
Central Parking System, which enforces parking for the city at the oceanfront, employed Dyer.
The crash remains under investigation, according to police.
