A young woman from Virginia Beach recently died in a car accident in Elizabeth City, NC, according to the local Virginia Beach broadcaster, WAVY-TV (Channel 10). Mary Alexandra Gable was just 19 years old.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper C.H. Allison said that a pickup truck struck Gable's car as she was attempting to turn onto Peartree Road from Pitts Chapel Road. According to local police, a deadly car crash occurred in the exact same location nearly a year ago.
Paramedics transported Gable to Albemarle Hospital for emergency help. She was then flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Sadly, she couldn't be saved.
According to Allison, the driver of the pickup truck was treated at the hospital and later released.
Gable apparently graduated from Kellam High School last year. Since then, she had been studying at Tidewater Community College.
