A 61-year-old woman died after being involved in a crash with a school bus on Great Bride Blvd. on Thursday, June 9, 2011, according to local media reports.
After the accident, Lorraine B. Taylor, of the 700 block of Priscilla Lane in Chesapeake, was taken by helicopter to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk. Sadly, she died from her injuries.
According to police, Taylor's SUV pulled out in front of the bus and became wedged under it.
A spokesman for the Chesapeake School System told local media that the bus driver and students were okay. A total of 37 students from Great Bridge High School were on the bus at the time of the crash.
